Meet the Hair Artist

Hi I’m Melissa! I always had an interest in hair, I was the kid who did her friend’s hair often. Even won “best hair” in school.

I got my real start to my career around 2012. I couldn’t have imagined how much my passion would blossom. I love what I do! I also love meeting new faces.

I offer many services but my specialties are grey blending, lived-in color, balayage and textured cuts. I use a variety of products but mainly schwarzkopf, pravana, and redken. Ask about grey blending, it is a service where you don’t use ammonia- it is a more natural effect.

Most of my clients are shocked how fast I can be. I have been doing hair a long while now so it is truly second nature to me!

I feel the hair industry is always innovating itself so I try to advance my education when possible. I want you to LOVE your hair when you leave therefore each look is custom.

Get to know me

  1. I have been with my husband for 10 years! We got engaged in Joshua Tree during the pandemic. It was very private and sweet.

  2. I LOVE plants, I probably own at least 50 at the moment. I have a bit of a problem!

  3. I am an animal lover, I have 4 ducks, 20+.. chickens, and 3 dogs. I’d adopt more if I could.

  4. I have a son named Theo who was born in the desert. True desert baby.

  5. I used to be blonde for years and years. I dyed my hair copper before moving to the desert and it has stuck.

  6. I went to school at the Aveda Institute of LA, I think that really shaped my knowledge of color theory. Most of my colors I custom mix.
